Halloween Event: Full Details

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A CANON EVENT. PEOPLE WHO HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT MAY RP WITH PARTICIPANTS IN A SEPERATE RP (see rules for more details)


DATES: 10/28-10/31 (Halloween weekend)

PLOT: Halloween weekend, something strange is in the air. Suddenly, you look around and everyone has been changed into a supernatural creature...save for a select few. Now it's up to each race to fend for themselves, your very survival depends on it! Do what ever you must to stay alive; form alliance, turn your friends against each other, anything you can think of! This Halloween...there's gonna be blood. It's a battle royale free-for-all!

Rules

• As previously stated, this is not a canon event. If you wish to play outside of the event, go right ahead!
• If you're not participating in this event, please don't try and cross this with the canon timeline. However, you may play as you normally would with a participant of the event.
• Fight results will be determined by several things that are listed below, similar to a rock-paper-scissor format.
• high speed beats strength (a dodging move)
• high strength beats defense (a head-on attack)
• high defense beats speed (a counter attack)
• if you need help to determine the outcome, ask a mod to do a coin flip.
• Have fun! That's why we came up with this event :)

If I've forgotten any rules, I'll be sure to add them to the list later.

Creatures:
Vampires: Humanoid creatures that roam the streets at night. Strong and quick, these creatures can be especially cunning. And with the ability to take the form of a bat, it is also easy for them to escape their enemies.

• Weaknesses: sunlight, high-pitched sounds/frequencies*, bloodlust
• Seychelles, Rome, America, Russia

*only affected when in bat form

Werewolves: Human-wolf crossed creatures that can have a nasty temper if provoked. With unparalleled strength, a keen sense of smell and the ability to communicate with other animals* these are definitely not to be taken lightly.

• Weaknesses: silver bullets, transforms in moonlight, slow
• Prussia, Turkey, England, Hungary, New Zealand, Italy

*can only communicate with animals in wolf-form

Fae: A special sort of magical creature, these beings are not as sweet as they may look or act. Their lithe form allows them to be some of the fastest creatures known, able to leave their enemies poisoned from just one touch* and fly** off before they even know what's hit them.

• Weaknesses: delicate, drinking sweet liquids (honey, sugar water, etc. NOT soda), easily caught (in faery form)
• Wales, Liechtenstien, Poland, Scotland, Norway, Belgium

*poison touch: enemy must be scratched before they are poisoned
**flight only possible in full faery formº
ºfaery form: 3 in. tall with translucent wings

Poltergeists: Some of the more pitiable supernatural creatures, these beings have been doomed to walk the earth for the rest of their days for many different reasons. Due to them being completely translucent and having the ability to make themselves invisible, they can never get any sort of physical harm and can easily possess someone if they so desire.

• Weaknesses: slow, weak, salt*
• Greece, Finland, Denmark, Japan

*can be used to repel them by either throwing it at them or pouring it in a circle around yourself.

Humans: The ones defending their home from all the creatures trying to take it back. There is really nothing especially notable about them except perhaps their love for guns and their ability to be uncannily persuasive.

• Weaknesses: slow, weak, easily harmed
• Austria, China, Germania, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong, France, Romania, Germany, Romano

All of these enemy listings go both ways. These are the groups that have always wanted to take each other out.

Instant-death Weaknesses
These weaknesses will kill your character & take them out of the event.

• Vampires: over-exposure to sunlight
• Werewolves: shot with a silver bullet
• Fae: drinking more than 2 cups of a sweet liquid (honey, sugar water, etc.)
• Poltergeists: exorcisms
• Humans: anything that would normally kill a human

Special Attacks

• Vampires: bite*
• Fae: poison touch
• Werewolf: animal communication
• Poltergeist: possessing another's body
• Humans: none

*If a vampire bites a human, the bite can either change them into a vampire or kill them. The result will be determined by a coin flip. If they bite any other creature, it only is hurtful to whatever they are biting.

EDIT: okay- a human that's changed to a vampire only follows the one that they were bitten by IF they feed off of their sire. if they feed off of another creature, then they have their own independence. if they feed of a vampire that ISN'T their sire, they follow that vampire. HOWEVER. they will still be blood bound to their sire no matter what. i.e., if their sire is in a bad situation, then they will be forced to help them NO MATTER THE SITUATION.

Halloween Event!

That's right! We're finally having an official event!

This event will be totally non-canon and if you don't feel like participating, you're free to do other things. Since I'm still working on all the details of the event, here's a few things that are for sure set in stone:

Date: 10/28-10/31
Some info: Magical creatures from all over are here to take back what they think to be rightfully theirs. The four big groups are the Fae, Vampires, Werewolves and Poltergeists. And it's up to those of you that are still humans to protect yourselves from being turned or killed!
How this is going to work: for now, everyone who wishes to participate should reply to the MOD ACCOUNT (@HetaliaRP) with a number between 1 & 5. This will determine what creature your character becomes. After everyone who is interested has replied, I'll set up the next post with more details on all the creatures strengths and weaknesses as well as what creature everyone is going to be.

Rules

• Everyone acts as a mod. This means that everyone needs to make sure that these rules are being enforced. This is very important! In the event that the mods are not online and someone steps out of line, we expect the players step up and solve the problem. We are a community and will help out like one.
• We understand that there is this crazy thing called Real Life going on. We all have school, work, families, and friends. That’s totally okay! But if you know that you’re going to be gone for a long while or taking a hiatus, let us know so we don’t think you dropped the account suddenly. There are also times where sudden events happen and you might not can get to a computer. Don’t sweat. Just get to us or another buddy on the RP to let us know.
• Try to keep non-role playing chat in the personal accounts. If you do not have a personal account, then keep it to a minimum. Though this is a weakly enforced rule (because we all ask each other how our days were and stuff), if a mod asks you to leave the RP and move to a personal account, we expect you to do this. This is usually in the case of an argument or disagreement.
• You cannot have a God like character that is invincible. Every character has a weakness. The only exception to this rule is if it’s set up in an alternate universe situation.
• You cannot do anything extreme to another character without the role player’s consent. By extreme, we mean like killing them, kidnapping them, raping them, so on and so forth OR anything that will change canon. The exception to this rule is if there is a set up in an event. If you sign up for an event to play it, only the rules for the event applies. [Events are explained below].
• We are planning to have events for group role plays. Every event will start as non-canon, but if the group likes it, we will take a vote. If there are enough votes, the event will become canon. This way everyone has an equal chance to contribute.
• These events can be anything: Nekotalia, Nyotalia, Zombie Attack, World War III, anything! Suggestions can be given to @HetaliaRP. If we have several suggestions at once, we’ll vote on them. Or we can also do them in the order we received them.
• We will set up a calendar to show what is taking place when. Though we are making these a weekend thing, bigger events (for example WWIII) might become week long events because they’re so massive.
• If you do not wish to participate in events, let us know so we can tell the group. You can also play normal canon games while the events are going on. Please note though, there is a chance that every event has the potential to become canon. If you don’t want to play it, at least pay attention to it.
• We all know that two characters can date and get physically close. Though there are a lot of Hungary like RPers here, take all sexual situation RPs to the Direct Messages or DMs.
• Be nice. Treat other RPers the way you want to be treated.
• A child character cannot be created without the consent of both parents. Even if a third party is playing the child, both parents have to agree on making the child character to begin with.
• We are a CLOSED RP. This means that while you're free to play with other OPEN RP accounts, DO NOT cross over the RP canons. For example, if your character hooks up with and open RP account, do not bring this even into our group's timeline. This is not only unfair to our players, but also makes it very hard to keep track of events.

In case you haven't already noticed, we have recently lost our Ukraine RPer (@APH_Ukraine) due to her not being able to be on twitter anymore and had to delete her account. 

Also, on a similar note, we had a bit of a problem with crossing canons. While this was never explicitly stated, we are a closed RP, but you're free to play with other accounts as long as you do not cross over RP canons. For one, it is not fair to our other players and two, it makes it hard to keep track of what's going on int he group in general.

Rules

• EVERYONE acts as a mod. This means that everyone needs to make sure that these rules are being enforced! This is very important!
• For big canon events, EVERYONE needs to give the event the "OK". If someone wants to have a big canon event, please notify one of the mods and we will put a poll up here so that everyone can weigh in & vote on what they think of the event.
• On this note, we will have a poll here to determine whether or not the event will be canon, as well as letting everyone have their say on whether or not they even want the event to happen.
• If a big canon event happens, be sure to look for rules that will be specific to that event.
• If you have an idea for a side non-canon event, we'll post a poll here for majority approval. If your event gets a majority vote, we'll add it to the calendar as a side group events.
• On that same note, you can opt to not participate in non-canon events. These will be mainly for people who haven't RP'd together to have a chance to mingle & talk.

Rules will be changed as time goes on, but we will let you know when that happens both here & from twitter.

Welcome!

Hi everyone! For those that are new to us, HetaliaRP is the mod account for a particular circle on twitter. ( visit our twitter page or if you're on twitter already @HetaliaRP) Anyway, this blog was created so that everyone in the RP could have a common place to access rules an updates.
